The Suzuki Jimny is a Japanese off-road vehicle that was first released in 1969.
Its serial manufacture began around the turn of the century in 1969-1970 and continues today.
Several locations around the world, including Iwata, Japan, and Bekasi, Indonesia, produced the automobile during this time.
Soon after Suzuki Motor Corporation purchased the Hope Motor Company, which specialised in the production of tiny off-road vehicles, the Jimny model was designed and put into production.
This company’s expertise and experience were put to good use in the creation of the Jimny model.
Initially, the Suzuki Jimny was a typical compact all-terrain vehicle with a basic but reliable design and style, powered by engines with a size of up to 0.7 litres.
However, various facelifts and additions of the engine range were done over the course of long series production (from 1969-1970 to the present).
The third generation of these cars is still being built today, although the fourth generation will begin production around the turn of the year in 2018-2019.
